About me
My introduction into pottery began in a college course. Although it wasn’t my major, the professor treated us as though we were fine arts students. We made our own glazes, loaded and helped fire a large cone 10 gas kiln, helped the senior class with their project by building and firing a wood burn step kiln.
In 1981 I became the resident potter at Cold Springs Village, NJ. I continued to study and further my skills at Chester Springs, PA studio.
Today I am studying under Dottie Baker at the Lost Providence Art Center in Lansing, NC. My current focus is heavily influenced by early Japanese styles and I am concentrating on developing advanced hand-building and throwing techniques.
